In 2023 the Madero family approached Panamá Studio with the idea of creating a wine bar and historic museum site to display their collection and pay homage to Madero’s legacy. For this project, we were tasked with creating a distinctive brand identity for the venue, which would serve as an exhibition space and wine bar for the Parras’ community.

YAHA-YAHUI is crafted by hand with the utmost respect for the land and traditional practices referred to as: Método Ancestral (The Ancient Method).

With this project, the focus was on evolving the symbolic part of the grain of rice as a main ingredient in the cuisine, so we re-interpreted elements that we consider part of their visual identity. Through a series of graphic exercises, we reviewed the typeface, and customized the font to hold the grain of rice into a timeless and modern interpretation.
